Oboreru Knife

The story of a teenager in Tokyo that appears and disappears is also the same as ‘Kimi no na ha (Your name)’ except set in the country. The film seems to place a great deal of importance on those special teenager years, or rather, yearns their passing … maybe the original story is interesting after all.
However, the way of countryside was drawn visually was exquisite.
For example, the scene where at some vague point in the evening car headlights go over a bridge has a bleakness to it. Also, the contrast between the silence and power of bird’s eye view of the port looks like Bill Viola’s work without moving an inch. The ticket price was worth paying for these two scenes alone.
