I watched this film on the plane for the first time in ages. It’s maybe already 12 years old.
Would it be one of either Tony Scott's or Denzil Washington's best films? It also features Dakota Fanning. Denzel who she co-starred with in ‘Man on Fire’ added that “She’s really observant. Among all the actors I have met, only Gene Hackman and Dakota Fanning are truly excellent”

The ending is also illogical somehow but I love the film regardless.

It hardly seems like a 12 year-old piece of work, with the way it’s shot and the atmosphere it makes.

But the title in Japan ‘My Bodyguard’ is an awful alternative. Oh well.
