A living-breathing nuclear reactor appears in Tokyo. A sense of crisis minus politicians, meaningless advisors slow in dealing with the government. I thought this disaster film was a metaphor for the last earthquake but was slightly surprised how the film’s second act unfolded. I was quite impressed and didn’t dislike at all.
I think the tail in the last scene can be interpreted in different ways but wonder if I’m one of those people that love it for what it is. Also what’s the significance behind such an attack in Tokyo … in other words, when Godzilla started.
There was a long queue at the local shop after the film had finished as the film programme apparently featured some spoilers. Wonder if I should go and buy it …
