I thought the film would be a hard-hitting piece of entertainment since it won an Academy Award, but surprisingly it was more straightforward and serious than I expected.
As a film, it was really interesting. I began feeling that “I want to work, and be absorbed in what I am doing as well”. But it didn’t last.
However, without being that familiar with Catholicism, I don’t realistically have the ability to judge or understand to what extent these things are great. I am sure American or European people will find the film 5 or 10 times more enjoyable.
Recently I feel a major theme for a lot of films is “the search for justice”, not only this film. It may not even be that recent.
