Since I’m coming to Aoyama from Odawara, my visit’s are irregular. A years ago, maybe 10, I went for the first time to attend a dinner hosted by Sony. Even now I remember how surprised I was back then: Completely different from old-fashioned French dining.

So in recent years I’ve been stopping by as much as possible. A lot of people say they want to visit so I would happily accept an invitation to go. Especially with continuous requests from overseas guests.

Conversations circle about food being “much closer to Japanese than French? No, but perfectly seasoned like French cuisine” …
