The first volume is drawn into a strange world. To begin with, theres the name of the software company that the hero works at. I was thinking there was a Matrix-like quality to it, and as a result felt a little let down.
Often in recent work, they were only successful when the story is well edited, ending well by making the distinction between the fun of an out-of-control beginning and a tendency to deviate.
Was I was hoping for too much? It’s a considerable piece of work though.
