Kushigen

I’d never come across this style of motsuyaki or kushiyaki before.

Usually called yakiniku, the part grilled on a grate is skewered and grilled. And then eaten covered in a tare like sauce particular to Kansai.

This is really good. When I asked the master to serve what he fancied he kept bringing out more and more meat usually difficult to come by. It also had the uniqueness of kushiyaki overflowing with a slight rustic flavour.

Apparently it’s been taken over recently. Hopefully the next owner keeps up the good work!
