히치콕의 달 3 번째 작품. 첫 장면은 히치콕의 뒷모습과 그림자가 화면에 비춰진 자신의 나레이션으로 시작된다. 이 단계에서 이미 내 마음에 두려움이 생긴다. 주인공의 아내가 서서히 미쳐가는 모습이 잘 그려져 있고, 심리적으로 무섭다. 실화를 바탕으로 만들어진 영화에서 더 무섭다.
